Default Best Plasma for $1,000 (Roughly)

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for the best plasma that is 50 in. or larger. This is for the living room. Any recommendations / links are greatly appreciated. Seating varies from 10 - 20 ft. : Not sure if 1080p or 720p would make that big of a difference (besides the wallet)

Thanks for any help!

Ronnie

My dad just got this tv yesterday morning and I went over after work to hook it up. I couldn't BELIEVE how beautiful the picture was on this plasma! Thinking of getting this one myself! I highly recommend it!!

LG has come out swinging this year with their new plasma's and the price as well..

a lot of people are settling for the 720p models because they aren't willing to go with Blu-ray...yet, but even the 50" 1080p model is around $1199 which is a great deal anyways...

let alone when sale prices hit..

Samsung 50" PN50C450 720p $799 @ Sears (2010 Model)

Panasonic 50" TCP50U1 1080p $1049 @ Sears (2009 Model)

Panasonic 50" TCP50C2 720p $719 @ Sears (2010 Model)

LG 50" 50PJ350 720p $749 @ Sears (2010 Model)

LG 50" 50PK550 1080p $1099 @ Sears (2010 Model)

The 1080p models for 2010, it being Panasonic, Samsung, are still hovering around the $1199-1299 mark, give it another month for the sales to start rolling in..

I like the '09 LG 50" with THX certification, the '10 model does not have it.

It's a great tv, yeah I am biased, I have had one 2 weeks.

No complaints, best TV I have ever owned!
