Can you guys please list the top five tv's that fit into what I am looking for? I'm trying to find the perfect tv for around $1,500 but am willing to go to $2,000.
Thanks Last edited by Goldensuitcase; 08-24-2009 at 02:24 AM. Reason: messed up |

Both of THESE LG 60" plasmas and THIS Samsung 58" are your best bets. THIS 58" Panny is another option that's under $2100. IMO the best 50" sets in your price range will be the Pioneer KRP-500M, Pioneer 5020FD, and the Panasonic V10 in that order all of which can be had for $2000 or less. All three of these offer a better picture than the 58" and 60" sets I mentioned earlier. All of these are great sets however, so you need to decide whether a small sacrifice in picture quality is worth the much larger picture.

What kind of room are you putting your display in? Lots of ambient light or more of a batcave all dark? If you have lots of ambient light I'd go LCD, if you aren't going to have any issues with glare then go Plasma.
Keep in mind you can get two very good Plasma's (same size) for the price of one Kuro as well. Just something to consider. Plus display prices continue to drop a pretty decent pace. |

What are the sets you would recommend? I don't mind spending $2,000, but I don't think it's necessary to fork over much more so think around that range and let me know what you think. Thank you |

Sears has the 60" LG plasma on sale for $1859.99 this week. I have seen it and it is a nice looking TV. It is no Panasonic or Pioneer but it is nice.
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/s_10153_1...lg+60&sLevel=2 Oh this is a THX certified display. Last edited by blarneyrubble; 08-24-2009 at 11:25 PM. |
