That should be just fine as when you run your speaker setup in your receiver it will adjust any distances. Just remember to toe in you L and R a little toward your seating position.

A little toe-in is ok. Unfortunately, people have a tendency of over doing it and completely ruin their sound stage. At the most extreme toe-in, the speakers should point toward your shoulders and not your head.

You should be fine with your mains a bit closer to you than your center. Mine are closer than my center and don't have any issues As mentioned, auto room correction will detect this, or enter it manually. Also, level matching will help. As far as toe in... not necessary, though I do suggest trying it and comparing it to having them straight. Choose what sounds best to your ears.

I would call that a great buy Wish I had room and cash for them. I just ordered 9's and CC-290. Enjoy, and give them time to break in (I think around 100 hours) so keep the volume low to moderate and if you are not using them during this period just turn some music on to help them break in quicker.

Wow that's a wicked deal!! Even though I already have speakers I would've bought that package and kept a few things.. maybe a pair of the ADP-590's and 2 subs and sold the rest and possibly make even more money than I paid. Hmm if you don't need all four surrounds in that room I'll be glad to take a pair from you and make you some $$ back . Seriously though that's a sweet deal!!! Congrats.

I think your fine with the placement. the Studio 100's will probably even sound better a bit out from the wall. What receiver are you using? Like others have said you can do an auto cal or maybe even pick up an SPL meter to match the levels. As for toe in I experimented with different angles and my personal preference is straight out.. depends on your room too I guess but I would play around with it.

thanks DLS, as for the ADPs i am looking to sell a pair of them seeing as a 7.2 setup might be overkill for my room, anddd im using a denon 4308ci as a reciever and ill be getting an xpa-3 amp and x series speaker wire for my birthday in july

Think of your front speakers as sitting along an arc. The fronts should be a little closer. I have each of mine about 7.5 feet from my listening position.

Cool if you're serious about selling a pair of the ADP-590's send me a PM. I'll sell my ADP-390's so I can have an all Studio setup! I think that 4308 will handle your new speakers with no problems... good for now but the XPA-3 or any other amp will definitely give them what they want! Damn - just saw in you're gallery how old you were You're a youngin' and have a crazy setup already with a ton of Blu-ray's. Wonder what you'll have when you're my age!?!
