Default Uma Thurman's "Motherhood" is $132.00 bomb in the U.K.

This is from MSN Movies. Pretty freaking hilarious.

Thurman's 'Motherhood' is $132 bomb in U.K.
March 29, 2010, 1:34 PM EST

WENN -- Uma Thurman's new film "Motherhood" has epically flopped at the U.K. box office: The film only made $132 in its opening weekend.

Thurman plays a stressed mom who struggles to balance parenting and her career in the new movie, which only took in $60,000 in the United States when it opened last year.

But the response to the film was even worse in Britain, where only one person went to watch the movie on March 7, and the film only garnered an embarrassing $132 during the whole weekend.

And producer Jana Edelbaum can't understand why the movie has bombed so badly, telling Britain's The Guardian, "You're kidding? We must have broken a new record for grosses!

"Think about how much crap succeeds at the cinema. 'Motherhood' is not bad. It's a very decent movie. I've seen movies that are not half as good."

I'd say it's probably due to lack of advertising... that and leftover flack from "My Super Ex Girlfriend"

Yeah lack of advertising, I didn't even know it existed until after it came out.

I do not find Uma Thurman movies appealing in the least outside of her Tarantino films. And let's face it, she is only good in Tarantino films because he lifts actors up.

Advertising or not the fact that 20 people or less went to see a movie is not a good sign.
You would think more people than that would just see it after going to the theater not knowing what to watch. I know my wife and I used to do that just go to a big theater and make our choice once we got there.

One ticket sold in an entire day? In an entire country? That's pretty astounding. And hilarious.

Yeah, sometimes talent is exclusive of an actor's judgment or timing in being offered a good role. I think she has talent, but hey, Hoffman and Beatty accepted roles in Ishtar and they're not altogether talentless

Looks like Uma will be paying the rent with DVD sales She actually won Best Actress for this role at the Boston Film Festival hmm...

I think there maybe are other reasons for Tarrantinos success (in your eyes) with Thurman

If I remember correctly, the South Korean film Typhoon made $8 one weekend in it's theatrical release here in the U.S.

On a dutch movie site the article said this movie was only showed in 1 theatre to create a ''hype'' . But that didn't work out apperantly.

They made this movie with $5 milion.
