Hypothetical situation: You go in Wal-mart and find a blu-ray you want. You remember seeing it in the Target sale flyer that week for less. Take it to the counter and explain to them that you want to price match Target's price. They'll call Target or they might look it up online and once they've verified the other store's price is lower they'll match it. This works best at Wal-Mart and BB. Target doesn't have as good of a price match policy. Most places won't price match Sam's Club or any online only retailer like Amazon either. Sometimes you'll get lucky and find a salesman who will though.

do you just go to the counter where you pay or customer service?

seems like it could take some time to verify the price.

usually where you check out.i usually do this if the store its on sale at is sold out so i just take the ad to walmart and they price match

oh and the reason the wont take online ads is because people can fake them

Target will price match but it has to be in a newspaper flyer. Best Buy will price match their own online prices so check those before you go into Best Buy and make your purchase.(ie. Batman Begins is 9.99 online and in the store it is 14.99) Often times customers will price match to Best Buy since BB has a rewards program which gives you gift certificates after you purchase 250 dollars.

I pre-ordered a disc off Amazon last week for $21.99, and when I went to Best Buy and Wal-Mart today, both stores had it for a regular price of $14.99 or $15.00. Does anyone here know if I e-mail Amazon, will they retroactively match Best Buy/Wal-Mart's prices if I send them an e-mail with the links to the prices? Thanks in advance for your help.

nope, Amazon doesnt have a post price matching anymore. You will have to return it for a refund at your expense.

Thanks for the feedback. I guess it might be worthwhile to look around online before making purchases in the future. It's only a $7.00 difference, but it still just bugs me.

There's always going to be a lower price eventually. Just enjoy your movie and don't sweat it.
