Talking The Legend of Zelda

What was your favorite Zelda game? Your favorite Zelda moment? And your Favorite Zelda boss fight?

My favorite Zelda Game was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time. I know "cliche" but it was the first video game I ever played, which brings me to my favorite Zelda moment. The first time i turned on Ocarina of Time. Just waking up and running around Kakori Village. It is an experience I will never forget. Now for my favorite boss fight. I would have to Say Ganon at the end of Windwaker. That was one of the best boss fights of any game ever, let alone a Zelda game.

Any talk of Zelda, esp Zelda 1, makes me want to spread the knowledge of Zelda Classic. Some of the fan-made Zelda games are really fun.

Other than a Wii or buying an original NES, is there any way to play the original Zelda?

Sorry guys. I never liked any of the Zelda Games. IMO, they were boring.

Ocarina of Time was a good one, but never finished it.

You can download an emulator that should have it on there. That is what I did.

im sure there are ton of emulators out there, just do a search for NES-ROMS or something, i DLed a bunch of SNES ROMs of old games i used to play all the time when i was looking for a copy of super mario RPG, i never finished it when i was younger and i really wanted to play it again, im sure there are NES emulators out there, but i havent looked to confirm

i have great memories of the original NES game, as well as a link to the past, but ocarinia of time is my favorite as well, i got one of the special limited edition gold cartridges just like the original NES game, and i thought it was just the coolest game ever, especially when i got to the part where you have the horse race and if you win, you get to keep the horse, i was blown away by being able to ride a horse in a game like that, i also remember diving from the top of the really high fountain or whatever it was in the forzen area with the zoras i think they were called, and also spending lots of time on the fishing mini game, i could go on forever talking about that game, i wish i would have kept it and my N64 to boot it up occasionally

a few years ago at college, a guy i knew was playing OOT and was stuck where you have to get into the temple at the bottom of the well, and i STILL remembered you had to go back to the past time and play the song inside the windmill, ahh memories....

Big fan here of the original Zelda for the NES. I still play it probably once or twice per year, meaning I go through the entire game and do everything (getting all the weapons and heart containers, beating all the levels, etc.). I was never really a fan of any other RPG. I guess you could kind of count Metroid in a similar vain, but as far as the typical definition of RPG, Zelda is the only one I ever liked.

Thats a good question as I can list my 3 favorites but I am not sure I can put them in order but to me these are the 3 best:

The Legend of Zelda
Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Never really got into any of the other ones but those 3 above are timeless classics and are 3 of the greatest games ever made! I dont really have a fav moment but if I did it was most likely on Ocarina of Time. Just walking the land and watching Link grow up was brilliant! Also dont have a fav boss scene either. Just loved those games though. Got Em!!

My favorite is The Legend of Zelda : A Link to the Past for SNES. I played that game so much. I still play it occasionally.

Link to the Past for myself. Grew up on this version and played it constantly. The best boss fight from that game would probably have to be the crab like creature that you need to hammer or use bombs on his mask before you can kill it.

My second favorite Zelda would have to be OOT. Excellent game and depending on when you were introduced to the Zelda franchise, probably most people's #1. I remember letting a friend borrow my FF7 copy for OOT. Both very awesome games.

It's such a tough choice for me because this is my all-time favorite gaming series. I think I would go with A Link to the Past, though. I could play that game any time, any day.

The three headed dragon on the original Legend of Zelda. There was one spot on the screen where you could stand and his fireballs couldn't hit you. Stand there, run up drop a bomb, back up...repeat.

That's got to be one of the easiest end bosses in the history of video games — if not at the very least the Zelda franchise — to defeat! I mean if you have the wooden sword still at that point, then yeah maybe he was tough.

I love the Zelda franchise. I've played almost all of them, with exception of the Game Boy ones.

I played Twilight Princess about a year ago, and have since downloaded all of the Zelda games you can get off of the Wii shopping application. I really enjoyed that one, being able to transform back and forth between the light and shadow realms. The final battle with Gannon is pretty good on it. Unfortunately I don't have any particular battle that I remember as I enjoyed all of them.
