Default Adventureland Re-release???

I was checking on what movies are coming out in the coming months and I came across this...

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003UMW620

I looked at the current release and the only difference is that this new release comes with the DVD . For one thing, I don't see many people buying this version if not the first one at all. It was advertised to be "Superbad" funny but it was just flat out boring and unfunny. Disney's on crack for thinking people will buy it just because the DVD comes with it.

Disney is re-releasing their entire catalog that day, Odd...
All the animated releases have the same deal...may already have DVDs, I am not sure whats going on or its a promotional thing Amazon has categorized wrong

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I loved Adventureland. I knew it wasn't a Superbad comedy, which is exactly what I liked about it. But I already own it, and buying it for a dvd is just absurd. Stupid to re-release this.

Maybe it's those fake BDs in a DVD case?

Is it not the truth? I use the term for movies that are edited/unoriginal/not the normal BD. For this thread, I referred to the DVD cases with a BD disc in them, hence the fake BD comment. Real BDs come in a small blue case, as we all know.

My BDs have come in:

- Thin Blue, Green, and Black Blu-ray cases.
- Thick Blue and Black cases.
- Black, Clear, White DVD cases.
- Digibooks, Digipacks, Digistacks
- Custom cases designed to look like character masks/helmets or starships/aircrafts.

Considering I import from Japan, UK, Australia, Hong Kong, and Thailand and buy previously viewed discs...I doubt I will ever have a collection that is 100% uniform in size and thickness.

I understand that. I also have helmet cases and statue/display cases (Dark Knight batpod). My whole point is there are fake BD cases out there, IE at FYE or with Toy Story 1 & 2. They are advertised as DVD + Blu and use a DVD case, hence fake BD.

Superbad is a hell of a lot funnier than Adventureland, as well as most "comedies" made these days. Fact.

Holy crap. I was looking at the School of Rock thread and here you are Mr. Schneebly. What a coincidence.

Didn't laugh one time during Superbad. Liked Adventureland a lot, and while it wasn't a laugh out loud film, it was a much better coming of age film.

noooooo, "fake" is commonly associated with bootlegs or burned discs. what you're describing is commonly called "non-standard packaging"

Anything to get this great film any more exposure is good, but I'll be sticking with the copy I have. I really have no need for the DVD on this one.

Yeah.... no. Adventureland was funnier partly because it just wasn't all sex jokes and toilet humor. That kind of thing is funny once in a while but gets old. This movie actually had some heart, and good acting.
