Thanks to Jaydm on RFD for the original heads-up...

AMAZON.CA (yes, .ca) has the repackaged version of BSG on pre-order for $171.99 CDN.

Just as I was writing, it popped up on the ~~Latest Price Drops~~ Most Popular Deals banner at the top of the page...

Cheaper than .com!

UPDATE: Now $149.99!!

I've had them do it before, but never tried with a pre-order. Fantastic deal on this set though.

With exchange and shipping to Canada it's still only $128.40CDN.

Thanks for this. The package contents sound the same except it doesn't include The Plan...is it confirmed to play ok here? Great price...might go for it. Any idea what duty/taxes would be like?

Not sure of the content, I think I've read it might be missing the item you spoke of. Region wise it is fine. As for duty, I can only speak to my orders. Most recently I ordered Band of Brothers on blu and was not charged duty.

When I imported Battlestar from the UK, I got hit with duty. If I remember correctly it was an extra 6% on top of the normal tax, plus of course the $5 Canada Post fee.

Just enter the item in your shopping basket, you get all the way to seeing what shipping is before you have to commit.

I've never seen this show, but for this price it's very tempting to take a blind stab at it. Factor in that Lord of The Rings trilogy comes out the same day it might just be a bad day for the old credit card.

thanks jay.for me its like $10 so total for me would be $159cad=$154us not bad and only $14 more than the uk i dont know what i want.
