Default Butt Kicker LFE Kit Questions (JUST GOT IT!!!)

I'm loving the Buttkicker. It was my 30th b-day present to myself. Sad to leave my 20's, happy to have the Buttkicker .

1. I'm using the riser kit, but my couch is heavy and causes the Buttkicker end to come off the floor. On Iron Man if I turn the BK up too high it ends up rattling the whole thing a causing a noticable rattle sound. If I go over and stand on it all of that energy gets transfered into the couch. Has anyone experienced this problem and figured out away around it? No place to screw the BK into the couch at. Any suggestions on a counterweight? Would placing it at the front/less heavy end of the couch help? Looking for some engineering insight.

2. For all who have it, do you keep the amplifier on all the time or do you turn it off when not in use? Any idea of the power usage when leaving it on when you are not using it? Is that safe for the equipment? Thanks!
