Default Lexicon BD-30 BLU-RAY PLAYER (March/April 2010 Widescreen Review magazine)

Lexicon BD-30 BLU-RAY PLAYER (March/April 2010 Widescreen Review magazine)

On pages 30 and 32-34 of the March/April 2010 Widescreen Review magazine there is an excellent review on the $3,500 Lexicon BD-30 BLU-RAY player. The $3,500 Lexicon BD-30 design is based on the $588 OPPO BDP-83 with RS-232 option. A $899 OPPO BDP-83 Special Edition player will outperform the $3,500 Lexicon BD-30 when it comes to analog audio output performance.

The Widescreen review article was very detailed and it was an interesting review to read. The Widescreen Review article mentioned that the Lexicon BD-30 player is similar to the OPPO BLU-RAY player but I was surprised the review did not go into great details about how similar the players are compared to other reviews posted regarding the Lexicon BD-30. The review mentions the player is also THX certified. This review is the most positive review I have read for the Lexicon BD-30.

Here are a few select quotes from the review

"Lexicon's BD-30 matches the best Blu-ray Disc audio and video playback I've experienced to date...the Playstation 3 and OPPO BD player."

"Lexicon's BD-30 sailed through the review period, bug-free and able to play any disc of any type from my collection. While the BD-30 is not bargain-priced, it clearly a "reference-quality" BD player, and for many, the universal disc playing capabilities will be worthwhile features."
