ive had a subscription for several years. its decent. has some good technical articles, good equipment reviews, and i used to pay attention to their movie reviews. but now with so much info online, they are pretty outdated by the time the issue shows up.

I've been getting it for a couple yrs. Heavy on the technical side, equipment reviews are good, brief movie reviews, industry insider/trade show news column is very informative. I like it

I've been a subscriber for about 5 years. I call it Widescreen Review Pamphlet now because its become too thin to be called a magazine.

I prefer Home Theater Magazine.

I used to be a subscriber since the Laser Disc days, but with instant reviews all over the internet, no need. Plus I always thought they had a pro HD-DVD slant/anti-BD during the war.

I used to *love* that magazine in the old Laserdisc days...I read few magazines anymore though because of our pal the Internet, but it's nice to know WR is still going!

I used to love the magazine. Now their reviews of movies are severely outdated because of publishing schedule (once every two months). Also someone else called it widescreen review pamphlet, that is so true. Back to their movie reviews. I stopped thinking they were credible after the switch to Blu only reviews. Now every review, the video is 5 out of 5. They even gave T2 skynet edition 5/5. Everyone here knows that transfer has way to many problems to be a perfect score. This month's release has the most non 5/5 reviews I have seen yet, and I have subscribed since the format switch. I agree, Home theater magazine is better.

Actually, it's been struggling a bit lately... They published bi-monthly from January 2009 to August 2009. Now they are back to a monthly publishing...

I agree that their review is becoming less useful... A lot of "5/5" and the comments are so limited that it looks like they're trying to keep the number of pages down to a minimum. I'm also a bit tired of seeing the same comments like: "the movie presents a holosonic® soundfield" and "the movie contains bass extension below 25 Hz in the .1 LFE"

I also prefer reviews with a comment on the movie... Their website has more up-to-date reviews but I think there are better BD review sites (free ones too).

===========================================

I'm currently a subscriber of WSR and for most parts, I like it pretty much... The technical articles are great and the equipment reviews are also nice (even if they review mostly high end equipments). Online you can access every issues from the past (even when you weren't subscribed). A downside is that are pushing more for custom installers and specialty b&m stores and dismissing online companies who sell direct to their customers (even if some of those companies advertise in their magazines).

Like mentioned previously, the review section is a bit useless to me...

I've just subscribed to Sound & Vision but I'm still waiting for my first issue.

(All in all, I like printed magazines since I can bring them to the bathroom... sorry for that last comment!)
