Default Is Batman Begins Worth the Switch to Blu?

I know it's a great movie, but I hear bad things about the transfer. Does the AQ and PQ make this movie not worth the Blu purchase?

welcome to the foray!

is there any link you can provide us to show that the AQ and PQ are questionable?

i own both the DVD and the Blu-ray version, and am quite pleased of the 'upgrade'. I personally find the audio side alone is well worth the cost, let alone the visual side of it.

i bought it full price back then, but for the right price, id say its definitely worth it.

Same as the post above. I upgraded from DVD, then to HD-DVD, then to Blu and I haven't regretted it in any way. Honestly though, name a title you haven't heard bad things about the transfer. I certainly can't.

Some people aren't happy with the PQ, but it is still a clear upgrade over the DVD, so yes.

It's okay. Really soft but better than DVD. Could be a lot better though.

Batman Begins on Blu-Ray does look better than the DVD, but it is not the best improvement.

All Warner did was take the HD-DVD files and port them over to a Blu-Ray disc.

I got it for $9.99 on Amazon a little while back, and was pleased with the picture and sound quality.

I got it just today.
It doesn't have the greatest PQ, but it's a big improvement over the DVD. I say go for it.

Worthwhile upgrade in both picture and sound. Plus it's dirt cheap these days.

Batman Begins was my first BD (along with The Dark Knight), and for $9.99 it was a really good way to start a collection.

Be sure to check Amazon regularly, you will always find good deals that sometimes last for just a couple of days.

Another positive thing is that it is much easier to access the special features. You no longer have to go through the "comic" on the second disc.

The transfers pretty good, by going to the Blu ray you are getting a Dolby True HD soundtrack.
