Default Cleaned KURO

After 1 year , I cleaned my Kuro 151fd screen , took maybe 2 min's. working slowly .

I made sure the screen was COOL.

Took a very slightly damp(with water only) microfiber towel ,lightly wiped 1/3 of screen at a time , as to not let any water dry on the screen and drying with a clean/dry microfiber towel before moving to the next 1/3 of the screen and repeating . Its good to have some light shining across the screen so you can see any smudges/dirt /dust on the screen as you clean and wipe.

This is really very easy and I see a lot of ppl stressing over this .

These are my tips ......
Make sure screen is COOL !
Use a CLEAN microfiber towels ,any dirt trapped in the towel could scratch the screen .
Use very little water and only apply the water to towel ,not directly to screen .
Do not let moisture/water air dry on the screen , dry it with a towel before moving on .
Only wipe lightly.
Use no chemicals .

I just cleaned mine so I thought I would share .

Mark

I've just used something like this.

Works great. Although I'm only removing dust and not any smudges for what it's worth. OP's way would probably work very well for smudges.

Yes, but before you start that cleaning process, the first thing you should do first is to take the supplied silk cloth that came with the tv and gently dust off the light layer of dust from the screen. You don't want to rub anything damp over the surface of the screen that has dust on it.

So, dust off first with dry silk cloth, then use the steps above.

Water leaves constant streaks on mine.

Tried to remove them for 30 minutes...no go.

Have used both cloth and microfiber.

Any other ideas?

When you cleaned it / Wiped it down , Had the TV been off & COMPLETELY COOLED DOWN Before you started to clean it .

Once you use a damp clothes immediately wipe off the water before it dries. Works every time for me.

You have a plasma and you use windex? All plasma manufacturers will void your warranty if you ruin the anti glare film with windex. The manual clearly states water or soapy water only. If you have been doing this and nothing has gone wrong be happy!
