Default 2:39 ratio viewable picture on 55" tv
Can anyone tell me the measurements of the actual viewable picture with a 2.40:1 ratio movie on a 55" 16:9 tv please?

update i put 2.39:1 in the title but ive changed it to 2.40:1 as most of my movies are that.If anyone could measure the viewable screen using a 2.40:1 movie it would be helpful such as transformers,die hard 4 and ghostbusters and also 2.35:1
