Default How Do You Rent Blu-ray Title at RedBox? $1 Million Question - EDIT: Got Netflix thx!

I checked out the RedBox website cause I read somewhere on the web that the blu-ray titles are available at RedBox. I go pick out a movie to reserve online and gives you where you can go pick it up but on the website it doesn't tell you what format it is in. I have no idea if it's DVD or blu-ray or dinky dunka? I don't know. Does anyone know any special magic how to identify what format I'm getting? Why are they making this so difficult? I don't get it.

Opips? lol.

Most Redboxes are DVD, only a few here and there are in Blu-ray...you'd have to check your locations first, unless Redbox.com would show you which ones are Blu-ray capable.

Awwww that shucks. I don't want DVDs, want blu-ray only. Looks like RedBox needs some time to catch up. I will check out the redbox in my area to see if they do blu-rays or not. thanks.

Looks like they're just getting started and it's Wal-Mart only at this point. I'd expect to see availability pick up over the next few months.

Netflix isn't good for me cause I don't rent movies regularly. I only rent for special occasions like christmas, new year or some other hollidays throughout the year. And the free trial thingy at netflix is no good cause they only offer DVDs and in order to rent blu-ray titles you gotta sign up for it again. There's no easy way.

Can somebody loan me the following blu titles by christmas plz?

- Terminator Salvation
- G.I.Joe
- District 9

I will purchase a copy of Star Trek (2009) since I know it's damn good one for sure. Don't have money to purchase all of the movies listed above. thankx!

I highly doubt anyone will loan out their Blu's, I wouldn't. Buy GI Joe though, I highly recommend it. Salvation looks great, youtube has a lot of HD scenes up. And District 9, I haven't seen, I don't really want to....

I personally recommend Blockbuster. Blu-Rays have no additional charge. Check out online comparisons.

Sorry for the double post

You get unlimited movies in a trial, I believe the trial is 2 at a time, and it is based on however often you mail in and out......

I did 2 at a time.. I wanted to keep my plan at 2 after the trial, so i didnt want to try to get more at at time and do a last minute reduction. It looks like you can do more, and they'll have ur credit card info, so you'd have to pick your permanent settings by a certain date.

Blockbuster Video stores have no fee for membership. You have no commitment at all for an amount of movies you MUST rent. Forget waiting for Redbox. No they aren't a $1 each for a rental but still.

Maybe a stupid question but what is a person doing with a Bluray player, only rents occasionally and doesn't have the money to buy THREE movies you listed?

And I'm positive you can get BluRays with Netflix trial membership as well though.

Well blockbuster was mean to me. they charged me the entire cost of blu-ray saying I didn't return it when I did return it and finally gave me partial money back and not the full amount. I said "f#@k ya...I'm done doing business with ya" so blockbuster is out of question.

I can't buy all four movies cause I'm saving money to pay for all the fees and stuff for buying a home lol. i'm broke man.

I refuse to give Red Box a single penny because when they started, they cheated the system and bought their DVDs at Wal Mart instead of buying from the studios like they were supposed to do. If I really need to rent something, I go to Blockbuster. At least they employ people to operate their business and they don't undermine the home entertainment industry. But I rarely rent and prefer to buy movies I like.

Nothing. There's no need for a submit button because once you put an item in your queue, they ship the top item to you when its available. If you want, you can rearrange the order of the movies, but you don't need to do anything else.

That's all you need to do. Just have them in the order you want and they will begin shipping them out.

On a side note, this screen-grab really pisses me off. I have heard (and have been experiencing it lately) that netflix caters it's newer releases to new subscribers. All the new titles you have that are "available" say "very long wait" for me. I'm sure you probably live in a different area but it's hard to believe that all those new and high demand movies are so easily available for you and not me.

Sorry....I'm just getting extremely frustrated with Netflix lately.
