Cool, this is one of those movies I remember fondly from catching on late night cable TV back in the late 90s and haven't seen since. I've seen people requesting it on here for a long time now so I'm glad Kino's getting some extras together for it.

Nice! I just recently watched this one for the first time in anticipation of the upcoming blu-ray release. It's so over-the-top absurd and so thoroughly 80s that it was bound to be a cult classic from the day it was released. I love all the post-apocalyptic bad guys in Hawaiian shirts.

This sounds right up my alley. Been on an 80s kick lately anyway.

Sounds right up my alley, too. I hope Kino uses that poster for the cover!

I LOVE 80s sci-fi, but seeing the trailer, it didn't do anything for me..

Even if they use something else, I have already started my custom cover that will use this for the front art...

Never seen this movie, but Basil Poledouris' score is wonderful.

Ya'll might want to see if you can preview it on youtube or something first. It's right up my alley too, I want to and should love it, but it did nothing for me.

Yes indeed, Intrada needs to put that complete score cd back in print.

This is hands down one of my favorite 80's sci-fi/dystopian movies. Anybody who is a fan of the genre should have no problem blind buying this.

Cherry 2000 has been one of my top ten most anticipated BD releases for some time. That poster would make a great cover. Definitely better than the image they used for the DVD
[Show spoiler]
. I believe this will be my first Kino title. I know they're a respectable company. What do you guys think of them? Should we expect top quality?

Now if only someone will release Return to Oz and City of Lost Children...

I'm unaware of the rights situation of Return to Oz. Doesn't seem like Disney has ever really loved the license anyway. A "cult" label would probably better handle it.

Somehow I never saw this before, even with all the pursuing I used to do at mom and pop video shops in the 80s, I don't recall the cover art. But watching the trailer has propelled me right back to the era with the Orion logo, synth music, dystopian premise, and the over-the-top acting. Movies like this is what made the 80s so much damn fun. I'll have to get this. Now, if only someone could get a hold of and release The Hitcher.

Disney did release "Return To Oz" on Blu-Ray disc, albeit as a Disney Movie Club exclusive, and with zero extras.

You're speaking my language. For the life of me, I don't know why I've never seen this. This trailer makes my credit card get hot:
