Fox Pathé will release Fernando Meirelles' Blindness on May 27. No information on specs or special features is available, but a lossless DTS MA track is to be expected.

Looks like a BD of Blindness just came out in France, distributed by Fox Pathe. Any word on language/subtitles and region locking? Thanks.

Hey,

Well DVDrama states both English and French DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 tracks along with French subs.

Regarding region coding, Bluray Mania says it's locked to Region B, just like I thought it'd be, knowing Pathé Europa Corp.

english subs for non-english speaking parts are very unlikely.

i don't remember those parts though

hmm, I thought there was some foreign dialogue. Maybe it was never translated though?

Still, non-forced french subs is the first hurdle

I checked my dvd and there is indeed japanese language dialogue which has english subtitling.

no there won't be any.

i have seen the original version with french subtitles and getting two different subtitles in 2 different languages is something i would dislike enough to notice it.

The japanese dialogs must be quite short.

sorry I meant the option of having english subtitles. That way you wouldnt have subtitling in two different languages but could choose subtitles in two languages.
