Do you mean picture and sound on the bd or the movie in general?
If you mean movie. Do you like or have you seen any Dario Argento movies before?
To me it wasn't a bad movie but one I'd probably grab Used on bd I wouldn't run out and get it.
It's no where as exciting as Suspiria Phenomena or The Bird with the Crystal Plumage(which is on bd too).

Thanks for reminding me of this movie. I have to purchase it ASAP. Now I only need a good price on it. (Edit) Just ordered the movie from half.com.

I'm a fan of Argento's work and this would fall into the cotegory of Argento in his downfall with Mother of Tears being the worst. I will still pick it up. Just need Deep Red, Tenebre, Inferno, Phenomena, and Opera.

There's some heavy noise on the Blu-ray. If its grain or actual noise has been discussed on this forum many times. To me it looks a bit like noise... unfortunately.

And this is far from Argento's best work. I really don't like Asia Argento's acting "skills" (if one can call it a skill...), and there's really no suspense in this one.

I would go for Suspiria, Opera, Tenebre, Bird With The Crystal Plumage (as mentioned before, this is out on Blu-ray), Phenomena and his other old stuff. They kick ass!!!

IMHO his best movie in the last 10 years was Sleepless.

I agree with Sleepless. . I have it on the f*cked screen US version.

I watched Stendhal Syndrome on dvd years ago and didn't really like it. Sold it a week later. I would get the The Bird with the Crystal Plumage instead.

Yep, that's the best since Trauma. I liked the two Masters of Horror episodes he directed though. The Pelts episode being VERY gory!!!!!

I just watched my copy of the movie, IT'S THE WORST BLU-RAY I EVER SAW !!!

my god the PQ was so horrible, For the first time I had to put my TV on cinema mode wich I usually dislike because my custom or even standard setting was full of noise/grain it was unwatchable...The movie is also terrible, acting, plot, corny dialogue (it's really bad, Asia Argento is awful...) seriously I'm pissed I paid 30$ for this piece of garbage, it's not even a horror or suspense movie...

The scene where Anna (Asia Argento) wants to beat up her ex-boyfriend for having sex is one of the worst scene I ever saw in any movie...

hehe, it's not one of Argento's best, I agree. And Asia is a really bad actor.

As for the noise/grain thing I think this movie is supposed to be this way. You may or may not like it, but that's how it is...

Agreed, Better to start with something earlier in Argento's cannon. Preferably anything before Trauma.

The Bird With the Crystal Plumage blu is amazing. I've watched it 3 times already.

The PQ on this is pretty horrendous, but a lot of european films are grainy as hell.

If its true to the source then its fine and should be left in. When you try to remove grain is scrubs the fine detail away.

We have to stop demanding crystal clean images on all releases. I believe that the point with a Blu-ray release is to preserve the original intended version of the movie... in high deffinition.

If a director wanted grain in his movie, why would you want a version without this?

I was going to pick this up, but there appears to be a big disconnect between what the reviewer says about video quality and the user reviews.

I'm not just talking about a fine layer of grain. It looks like some users are saying there is digital noise throughout the movie? Can anyone confirm this? I tend to usually trust Martin on the reviews...but I wanted to make sure.

You need to see it for yourself... and be the judge.
