France Gladiator - Remastered Version?

http://www.amazon.fr/Gladiator-Blu-r...7141655&sr=1-2

Has a new ASIN number. The current release has the ASIN number of B002IT7KYK and the new one has an ASIN number of B0038N8TAO. I wonder if this could be the remastered version that was talked about on the The Digital Bits.

Lists 2 disc. Release by Universal-SC.

Could also just be an Amaray re-release as the first and current one is only a SteelBook.

I am torn. That sounds more likely, but the fact that it costs more than the Steelbook is still making me wonder.

Someone on homecinema-fr mentioned it as the remastered version as well.

But the price is higher than the Steelbook. So it doesn't make any sense. I think it will be the remastered.

Prices have a tendency to be quite high at first, only to drop closer to release date.

I got the steelbook version & I absolutely love it. I wasn't really distracted by the picture quality and enjoyed it.

How do you know you have the remastered version? If you've bought either the US or CAN versions. Is there something on the box that would tell you?

I read on another forum thread that the UPC sticker would be yellow (remastered) instead of white.

Another forum thread said to make sure there are no security stickers and that you don't see "2 disc" on the case and slip cover. More so on the case. Then we should have the remastered version. Not sure if this is the same in Europe. I'm from Toronto. The advice was from an American forum.

UPDATE: (Sept 1st, 2010)
I received my copy from http://www.bestbuy.ca today. While I still have the b/w "GLADIATOR" security sticker over the top edge and the "2 DISC SET/ENSEMBLE DE 2 DISQUES" on the back sleeve there is no Paramount logo at the bottom right corner. Just the Paramount URL. Do I have the remastered version??

Is there an Exchange Program like they did for the US & UK Versions of the Movie? Although I don't really have a problem with mine, I wouldn't mind getting the Remastered Version. After all we paid our hard earned cash for this just like the English talkin' people of this frikkin' planet!

"

I would like to know if someone actually has done this & got their replacement disc? If they don't send it to Luxembourg then I'll make them send it to my Family in France!

THere certainly is...this quote was taken from the digitalbits.com website...
Also today, we've heard from a couple Canadian Gladiator BD fans who report that they tried calling the U.S. Paramount customer service number (888-889-9456) and were told they TOO could send their original Disc One to the U.S. address for exchange. So, to repeat: For U.S. AND CANADIAN consumers, mail Disc One of the old Blu-ray ONLY to...

Enclose your name, address and phone number. They'll send you back the new remastered Disc One in about 4 weeks. Hope that helps you readers North of the border.

I sent in my DISC 1 a week ago. So hopefully I'll get my remastered copy in another 2 weeks (or so). Looking forwards to watching Gladiator the way it should be seen. Free of EE and colors that were missing in the original version (e.g. blue skies). And missing thunder bolts. Missing flaming arrows in the opening battle scene.

30 Sept: I think it's going to have been 3 weeks come tomorrow. Waiting for my remastered copy of Disc 1 to arrive still. Supposed to come via FedEx I heard. Hope I get my copy soon.

I sent mine in within a week of the information being released (I'm not sure how far back that was). I still haven't received a replacement.
