I suppose, Sony did give the second a release date before they had started filming.

Was looking at the Spider-man toys in Target Saturday. Among the usual enemies we have seen thus far, the Rhino was one of the figures.

I would imagine they just put Rhino out as a toy because he was in the game.

Knowing Hollywood, it looks like they set things up for the Lizard in the last movie. SM3, by the way was very dissapointing for me. I would have liked the idea better if it was split up into 2 flicks(and maybe a cameo from Reed Richards instead of the Lizards alter-ego to explain the symbiote). Was it me, or was there just too much set up/character developement with little to no payoff?

Having said that, I did enjoy the movie for what it was...Action sequences were fun and visual FX were good, but again Venom was a little bit of a let down.

I'll buy the Trilogy on BD and go see the new one when they decide what to do. And then when that one comes to BD, I'll probably buy it too.
