Interesting Samsung PDF about the new DF player. - Blu-ray Forum

There seems to be quite a bit of touting the HD DVD side of the player than the BRD side.

Samsung has some kind of side deal with Microsoft, and making this combo is part of that deal.

The distinct impression I've been given is that they're not planning on there being a 2009 model.

i can't find the link, but i do remember that the samsung plant or division that is doing the dual format thingy is part owned by toshiba.

With two other BD-only players in release at the same time, I think Samsung's rather bullish on Blu-ray.

One thing you have to admire: if it does get DTS HD MA in-player decoding, this would be the player MANY people have been waiting for (though probably not on this forum).
