Default Blu-ray on HP Pavilion notebook

Hi!

I'm new here. I found this forum in desperate condition , as HP did not give me proper answer regarding the use of BD drive in HP pavilion.

Okay, I planned to buy Pavilion HDX or Pavilion dv9000, but it includes HD DVD , while the whole of my HD movie collections are in BD format (because I'm PS3 owner ).

I have asked HP about this, and they did not respond my enquiry properly . I sent another e-mail, and no response received. I'm getting tired, so I found this forum.

I plan to buy a spare part from Sony VAIO laptops (BD drive spare part) or any other manufacturer with BD drive integrated. Then, I swap the HD DVD drive with BD drive using manual that HP always provide in opening the laptop.

My question:
Will this work? Will the motherboard recognise it?

If anybody used to do this, can you tell me your experience?

FYI, The graphic card supports HDCP, while HP themselves provide BD notebook for its business line, but I need 20 inch laptop (the HDX).

Thanks in advance
