Default HP Pavilion dv5-1044ca Blu-ray

Thanks in advance to those that reply to this thread! I just purchased the laptop labelled above. It is a great machine and works great, however, when I attempt to use the blu-ray player (using either Cyberlink PowerDVD 7 Ultra or the preloaded QuickPlay program) in both programs I can view the previews no problem.

When it gets to the top menu to play the options to play the movie (I have tried two Blu-ray DVD's and both have resulted in the same thing), I am unable to click actively on any of the options.

It seems logically to me that it is un update issue and I have tried that with the PowerDVD program, but that didn't seem to cure it...should I try to upgrade to the PowerDVD 8 version???)

Or is this a firmware issue? If so, if anyone has encoutered this before, where can i find firmware for a blu-ray player for a laptop? I have tried to find it on the hp site, but to no avail...looking for any help!

Thanks again in advance!
