Hey out there. I havent seen this talked about but i ran across it today on IMDB.com, they are remaking this movie set to release in 2012, and Leonardo Dicaprio is in it. Arent we tired of them ruining good movies with these remakes. Just wanted to see what people have to say about it... Obviously I think it totally sucks as im a big fan of the original...

Um IMDB, is full of shit 98% of the time. While yes they are working on a remake, Leo isn't part of it.

While remakes can often suck (sometimes they are good as well) the don't ruin the originals for me. I still like the original Willy Wonka despite the remake sucking ass. To me they are two separate movies.

A remake???? Say it isn't so. This is my favorite movie!!! I will never ever see it. Noah Hathaway was the perfect Atreyu.

I don't mind remakes, honestly. I consider them to be far more honest than the movies that lift plots and direction right out of existing movies without so much as a courtesy wink.

The movie version remained faithful to the first half of the book, with just a few small alterarions,(that's why I cannot see why the author Michael Ende had a problem with it), which to be honest happens in every movie adaptation of a book.

you must be very excited about this coming to bluray! I am looking forward to buying it and showing it to my kids!

Actually I have the Dutch version already and the transfer is so so, but this is one of the few titles I am double dipping on, so here's hope this version is better.
