Ok i already took back the 605 due to it's less than stellar video conversion. I should be receiving the new 875 by thursday via fed ex at the latest. So NOW i've tried to match this with the speakers and i can't. I already took back the kef and i was checking fluance but those speakers don't match up with this receiver as according to u guys, the center speaker and the 2 matching fronts should at LEAST be the same watts as the receiver but this receiver is 140...the brown cabine fluance fronts go up to 160 but the center is 100 and i read mismatching sometimes doesn't work well with sound transfer or calibration. The bose speakers only go up to 100, the klitch quintet 1 and 11 series don't do 140 either. I need to match these babies up PERFECTLY my dear experts...so what's say u all? That is all i need then the best way to connect it. I want to do 7.1 this time since i paid for the technology so i might as well hook it up, my room is 20X12. Much appreciated people

Regardless of what speakers you choose, you will not know 100% how they will sound until you hook them up in your room. The room plays a MAJOR part in how speakers sound. We can start on your budget for speakers and I can make some recommendations. Do you need a full 5.1 setup? (with sub) |

Hey there, well i want to go 7.1 this time as i might as well use the 875 to it's fullest. I just took back the KEF 5.1 speakers cause that base box sucked. The speakers were good but they were pretty big and bulky. I was thinking of the fluance beige 5.1 speaker system and buy 2 more surrounds from them or Klipsch Quintet II with KSW-10 Subwoofer or a bose vcs-10 center speaker with 6 bose cube speakers and a bose subwoofer to connect to my 875 onkyo. Since i spent 1600 on this 875, i dont want to break the bank with the speakers, max maybe 1000 for a 7.1 system if possible but if i can get if or cheaper than bring it ON. If i can't get a 7.1 realistically then i will have to settle for a 5.1 but i'm trying on the 7.1.
I don't really understand the stuff about speakers with bi polar or tri stuff, but i want something that will sound really good. I want the base to sound distinct, i want to hear a clear CRACKING and POPPING and swords banging CLEARLY in my movies and video games. Music can be second to bluray movies and games. |
