have just received the Onkyo TX-SR875 A/V receiver. It has the ability to upconvert to 1080p. My question is since the receiver already has a Reon HQV processor on board should I just purchase the 80GB PS3 so that I can pass the signal through my Onkyo? Or should I get a Blu-Ray player that already has a Reon or Realta HQV processor?

Thanks for the quick response. It just seems to me that if the A/V receiver already has the Reon HQV processor on board if I purchase a Blu-Ray player with the same or Realta HQV that it negates the A/V receivers use in deinterlacing or upgrading the pictue to 1080p.

Yes, it will be used for standard DVD's as well as deinterlacing SD Television signals.
My prospective HT will be as follows: Pioneer Elite PRO 150FD (60 inch) Onkyo TX-SR875 Mythos eight speakers and subwoofer and as of yet an undecided Blu-Ray player possibly the PS3 |

I have bought most of my professional video gear from www.bhphotovideo.com they in most cases have the best prices, are the most reliable and I have always been pleased with my transactions.
They have my recommendation. |

I purchased the Onkyo TX-SR875 through a company called B&H: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/
They're finally in stock and I waited three weeks before they came in. You shouldn't have a problem with the order. Let me know what you think. I personally thinks it's a revelation for HT. |
