Default Brutal Legend: Decapitation!!!

I'll feel dumb if there is already another thread for this, but after searching a few times I couldn't find one. I can't believe I let this game go to the wayside for so long. It came out on the same day as Uncharted 2 (bad idea) and then I just forgot about it. After I finished Mass Effect 2 (great, but kinda, slightly overrated- oh my God, I think the IGN editors might be after me now!) I finally pulled this sucker out and got to playing and, dear God! Is it the most metal-tastic game ever created. As a huge Metal fan, especially of the Thrash variety, I loved hearing Rob Halford and Lita Ford and Lemmy from Motorhead. Jack Black was hilarious, and the story was shockingly funny. Go buy, if you haven't already, go buy now.

Your right on it being totally F-ing metal!

I owned this for a bit when it first came out. I loved the character of Eddie. And the Duece was sweet. Loved driving aroung listening to some awesome metal songs. I also loved the collecting/or destroying those metal relics.

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE- I just couldn't stand the Real Time Play. I just really suck at trying to command an army.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

I got to the part were you have to command a lot of your army in a palace setting against that blond haired bad guy. I just couldn't freakin' do it Trying to deploy armies to certain areas while at the same time telling another group to fallow you while at the same time calling forth another group cause the first group died.....Just isn't my cup of tea.

I really enjoyed the single player part of this game. Online blew though. It was abysmal at keeping your records and I think that turned a lot of people away. Some times I got my ass kicked, other times I did the ass kicking. I'm not a big metal fan but I do like some of the older stuff from the 70s and 80s, but I found this game pretty entertaining.

Hey Toxa, thanks for the heads-up, I'm relatively new to this site and only knew about the search button at the upper-right corner of the blu-ray.com beginning. Sorry if this thread seems redundant, but now I know, and knowing, of course, is half the battle.

And yes, the real-time gameplay does kind of suck. To tell you the truth, I put it on easy just so I could zoom through the missions and watch the kick-ass story scenes.

I'm a big Jack Black fan, and finally got the game this week. I did get that free map they were giving away on PSN a few months back in anticipation.

I'm looking forward to playing it.

Necro bump!

Just picked up this game for $10 on Amazon, played about an hour and it's amazingly good. Don't have a full handle on the story or game play yet, but the cut scenes and dialogue are great. Add in the music and artistic atmosphere and I'm really excited to play through the rest of it.

Does anyone still play this or is it pretty much a one time go through?
