Default TV shows cost too much? (Not really)

I'm starting to hear people complaining about the price of TV shows. Saying they're just to expensive. Which may me wonder. Are TV shows more expensive than movies?

The up front cost is more expensive, Yes.

But I thought I'll give you a different way to look at it.

Cost per min of entertainment.

Using Amazon.com prices for this. (All Prices are for Blu-rays)

Lost Season 3 is price at $67.85 for 991 mins. (Your Cost is $0.0684/min)

Smallville Season 6 is price at $55.95 for 921 mins. (Your cost is $0.0607/ min.)

Live Free or Die Hard is price at $27.95 for 130mins. (Your cost is $0.215/min.)

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End is price for $23.95 for 168 mins. (Your cost is $0.1425/min)

So what do you think?

Weeds Season 1/2 on Blu ray is under 50 bucks for both, you cant beat that. Not the longest seasons but still.

Too many people whine. Like you said you are getting a lot of hours of hd viewing pleasure and TV shows come in multi-disc sets. Smallville is about $60 for 4 discs which is about $15 per disc and about 3-5 hours per disc!

I remember it took me about 2 weeks to get through one season of "24". It only takes about 2 hours to get through one movie.
