Default Panasonic & DirecTV interoperability problem

December 2009 bought a Panasonic TC-50PS14. Handful of months into ownership a problem developed. Green bar traces across top of screen and everything goes blank (no audio/video), plasma says no signal. The traced green bar takes only a fraction of a second.

Problem exists only for one source type (DirecTV one H23 HD STB/ two HR21 HD DVR's), but exists regardless of which HDMI input it is on.

HDMI cables are always 3', have been swapped out, and the output resolution of the STB's have been tested problem-positive with 480P, 720P, 1080i and 1080P output signals. Panasonic is grounded, but none of the sources are. Panasonic BD player works fine.

Tested all DirecTV equipment on two Samsung LCD TV's and a Vizio plasma with no problems. As time passed from early 2010 to today, the problem has grown from occurring once a month to several times per day. Because of the above compatibility and incompatibility conditions, I conclude this Panasonic plasma has an interoperability issue with DirecTV equipment.

Not sure if one can say it is more of a problem of blaming Panasonic vs. DirecTV, but I didn't purchase my DirecTV equipment and I did buy (unfortunately) the Panasonic. Right now I can only watch optical media and nothing else.
