Will US Casino Royale BD play on a UK PS3? - Blu-ray Forum

I've just come back from a vacation in the US, where I bought a copy of Casino Royale from Walmart as it is much cheaper in the US than the UK. I'm about to buy a PS3 to play it on. However, do I need to import a US PS3 to play this title or will it work on a UK PS3?

depends, if the region code is ABC, then it's fine.
I registered my Japanese PS3 in Europe, get casino royale, and its region free. I know UK's casino royale is region-free, but here, in Indonesia, it's region A. Be careful before you buy discs with region code

US Casino Royale is locked to A
UK is ABC

Looks like I need to import a US PS3 then. (which is probably the best thing to do anyway - provided it doesn't break down).

better if you re-buy the disc in the UK. There is import restriction for US and JPN version. I even can't manage to get japanese PS3 until I went back to asia.
