i bought a new subwoofer on the weekend and just wondering what people think is the best blu ray for giving it a good testing!

If you have Casino Royale watch the airport scene when the jet almost lands then throttles back up. It doesn't last long, but it's one of my favorites. The building sinking into water near the end is good too.

dont suppose you know the chapters? i have it but havent watched it yet..have seen it at the movies though

Just watched 30 days of night, a rental from Blockbuster, it uses huge amount of sub bass throughout the movie to keep the suspense up. My room and wall was shaking thanks to the Velodyne DD15 x 2. Give it a try, the PQ is a 5 on this one too. I am thinking about buying this one when the price drop.

SVS is a subwoofer manufacturer. Go to their site and scroll to the middle of the page. They have a list of all the movies with great bass for subwoofer demonstration.

Although Dragon Wars sucked, I have never heard so much .1 action in my life. There were scenes when the subwoofer just pounded for about 3 mins straight!

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind--anytime a UFO appears or especially the last scene with the Mothership
Nine Inch Nails-Live Beside You In Time--the bass is crazy on this one.

Cars.... you can really hear the roar of the engines and since they are all cars, you can hear it through most of the movie

I know this isn't answering your question, but throw some good classical music in there....... Many good classical scores go LOW LOW LOW.... probably lower than your sub can handle....... what type of sub did you get?
