Was at Walmart today and I saw it on shelf for $7.96. Decided to pick it up.

Kind of weird to see no news about releasing this classic animation. Unless I missed it.

Ah the memories of watching this as a kid.

That's what I was thinking but it doesn't have the walmart exclusive sticker on it so I'm not sure.

I think I've the exclusives with no sticker.

Besides, I only recall a thread about one exclusive for the month, which seemed odd since there have usually been two. So in my mind, all is right with the release schedule now. We just missed Balto.

That's crazy it managed to appear on shelves without any news or press regarding its release. I actually just upgraded my dvd to hdx last month (figures).

Looked up the upc on brickseek and it does say universal Walmart exclusive

Canada are getting all of the Universal WM exclusives to date. No reason to think Balto won't be the same.

Indeed it was! Just found both thanks to the tip. Store only had 2 of each. Was on the side of the front piece of the new release rack.

Yes, much to my surprise, I found the Fievel Goes West BD immediately below the Balto BD on the display.

It looks like this is presented in wide screen, which would be a first in US home video for this fine film.

I presume that like FAHRENHEIT 451, it will eventually find its way to other retailers. I'm not a fan of Wal-Mart, and there isn't one near me, so I'll just wait for this title to "break wider." Thanks to the OP for the heads-up.
