I am deeply awaiting Don Bluth's films to make an appearance on Blu-ray. I barely remember Titan A.E. from having seen it only once in theaters, but I'm sure it's good.

I'd buy this day one. I really enjoy the movie and bet it would look and likely sound amazing on Blu.

I've been putting off buying the DVD in hopes of a Blu release one day

I have a feeling Bad Boys 1, 2, Heat and Armageddon will make it out in 2009.

Default Waiting and Waiting

Titan A.E. was the first movie that I wanted to buy when I bought my Blu Ray player. That and Saving Private Ryan. Luckily, SPR was released but, I'm quite disappointed that Titan A.E. isn't even announced yet. It did so much for the animation industry (yes, I know it flopped in the box office). I just think that with the cult following that it gained after it was released and how awesome great the visuals were, that it would look incredible on Blu Ray

Definitely a favorite movie of mine. Never bought it on DVD--but did practically wear out my VHS from ages back. Can't believe this movie doesn't seem to get a lot of respect. At times funny, at times heart-warming, at times some kinda beautiful.

Ultimately I think it was a bit ahead of its time--if it came out today it would probably be more successful as people seem to be a bit more open minded to the whole sci-fi genre these days....

Likely. I've owned the DVD for years so I've thrashed it to death. But I have strong memories of awesome sound, specially in the Ice Nebula.....hang on, how old is this thread?..

as L-Rouge pointed out, yes the soundmix is damn impressive - the DTS on the DVD is a juggernaut - to hear this in lossless DTS-HD MA.... ah, the icing on the cake.

I am slowly upgrading many of my DVDs to BDs. This one is a no-brainer for BD if it comes out.

The DVD looks pretty good actually so on Blu-ray this movie would shine.
