Default klipsh vs paradigm titan monitors

Okay guys i was set on paradigm they were the only speakers I liked out of the polk, infinity, and Sony. Then i been reading up on klipsh has anybody heard the paradigms and the klipsh are the refrence 62 maybe even 82 worth a look or stay with the paradigms.origianlly i wanted to only spend 600 on a pair of fronts and 600.00 on a center,But i have been reading how speakers last a long time 12years.so im going to buy 2 really good towers for right now maybe around 1100.00 for booth and a better reciever so are refrence any good?

Klipsch definitely makes good speakers. It really comes down to if you like the sound of horns....

Myself, I would take the Paradigms over the Klipsch.

You really need to go out and listen to both, different speakers altogether.

agreed, klipsch make it sounds like the speakers are in an echoey hallway. I dont like the sound of them. Stick with the paradigms in my opinion too.

I have Klipsch and love them. Details and specific models are in my gallery. IMO they are both excellent speakers, but with very different sound quality. You should definitely listen to both and decide for yourself which you like better.

I don't know The Klipsh speakers you are talking about, i do know Titan and theykick ass .Titan was remade i had a pair 10 years ago. The titan they have today is a beautiful speaker that doesn't disappoint

This is the one your probably looking at NICE

http://www.paradigm.com/en/paradigm/...1-2-4.paradigm

This is the one i had and it was really mind blowing for a Bookshelf
For me i find Paradigm a big leader that gives you more bang for the but,I truly believe this

http://www.audioreview.com/cat/speak...9_1594crx.aspx

Good luck on any decision you make

I've owned Klipsch - I've owned Paradigm. Pound for pound, in the classes that you are considering - The Paradigms are a better speaker, but only you can decide. You can get these from 6ave for 379.00 each! http://www.6ave.com/Shop/product.asp...PRDMONITOR7V5R that's a pretty good deal and I would definately take these over the Klipsch. You could even move up the line to the studio speakers. Klipsch can play louder but the paradigms are a lot more open, realistic, and detailed. They have a smoothness about them that's hard to beat! Not downing Klipsch (hey - I own some - but those are heritage series - a different story all together) but the Paradigm's just sound more musical IMHO. The ones that I linked to - are the ones that you would probrably compare to the RF62's.

p.s. And I do love Klipsch - there are just a few other speakers that I love more.

+1

I really would suggest listening to both. It really is a matter of personal taste. Both are excellent speakers, but in very different ways. I was actually between these two when I chose my speakers. I didn't like polk, infinity, or Monitor Audio (Not to be confused with Paradigm's monitor speakers). B&W was out of my price range.
Personally, I liked the Klipsch a little better ~~~~~ but as I said before this is personal preferrence so it is best for you to get out and listen. I didn't like previous versions of Klipsch as much, but I liked the Referrence IV series better than the titans.

In the world of sound ~~~ "One man's detailed is another man's harsh."

Your local dealer is getting over on you on the Titans - they are only $279.00 each and that's MSRP!!! He can go lower - I know! You also need to compare apples to apples (i.e. a floorstander against a comparable floorstander - not mini monitors against floorstanders). The Klipsch RF62's are floorstanding models, you should compare these against Paradigm monitor 7's, 9's, or Studio 60's. Titans (while throwing a larger soundstage and better imaging) will not keep up with the RF-62 - they just have more piston area and a much larger cabinate. Where are you buying these from?

That's way too much for the Titans, but if it's $750 for a PAIR of Studio 20's then GO FOR IT! You could probably get a pair of Monitor 7v6's for $600 from the right dealer.

Whether they're Studio 20v4 or v5's I would pull the plug for $750, you're getting a really nice pair of speakers there and the upgrade over the monitor series is definitely noticeable.

MSRP on a pair of Studio 20v5's is US$1198

I have the Titan v.4 and like them a lot. I replaced them with the Monitor 3 v.4, which is a better speaker imo.
The newest Monitor line now includes the Titan and is an improved speaker so I would highly recommend that model.

The price on the Monitor 7's at 6ave is a great price and I may pull the trigger on a pair unless I can get my local dealer to price match.

Just need to say one thing!

I own Klipsch speakers and what I can honestly say is that it really comes down to cost $$ and functionality. To be straight with you the Paradigm are excellent and probably slightly better overall quality; but not for the cost. You really wont hear much a of difference overall. Everyone has a different perception of what they consider to be the best. I`m extremely happy with my purchase and dont regret saving some money to assist with buying a better LCD screen and or amplifier equipment, and make slight calibrations and adjustments to my equipment. My friend has the paradigm and he can honestly say he doesnt hear much of a difference between my Klipsch and his Paradigm. He says my Klipsch actually push harder.....I quess in a nutshell....you are going to be happy with either speaker. Just food for thought.

Good luck!

Well in my honest opinion
2 titan monitors for 600.00
will poop on 2 klipsh f-2 floorspeakers at 750.00

even the monitor 7s 2 of them at 750.00 a pair will dance over those klipsh and there the same price range..Now i think the refrence series are pretty good but dont say the paradigms sound a little bit better the then the Synergy series cause that simply aint true.In my Opinion

we have had our klipsch speakers for almost a year and love them. They do not sound like they have an echo. we do have the reference series though, so maybe that makes a difference. They sound awesome for movies and jam out for music
