Exclamation Noticed a skip when watching Dr. No

Wondering if anyone noticed like a slight skip or jump when watching Dr. No? Select scene 7 and fast forward to when Bond is in Strangways residence and he holds up a picture and asks: "Who's the man with Strangways"? Just as he says that there's like this slight skip in the scene. Not sure how else to explain it. Anyone else have this??

I saw two skips I don't remember where but they were like jumps in the film. I haven't seen DR. NO before so I didn't know if that was just how it was. Still it was a good movie.

It's on the original DVD, too. It was likely just a bad piece of editing with the original film, which wasn't made on that great a budget way back when. It's likely that when they were filming the scene of Connery holding the picture, something went not the way they wanted, cut the scene, then did another take where the inspector walks into frame, and made a poor editing splice of the two takes, that's all. Nothing to be concerned about; it's not the Blu-ray. You can see that in a lot of movies.

It's not a skip mate, EVERY version of Dr. No has that "edit" problem. I own it on VHS and the latest DVD and there both the same exact. I'm waiting for the entire collection to hit on Blu-ray, and then I'll buy them

The jump cuts were explained in the Criterion Collection laserdisc commentary. Evidently, one of Peter Hunt's complaints about Terence Young was his tendency to not shoot much coverage, or many alternate takes or inserts, making Hunt's job in the editing room more challenging. You'll also notice a jump-cut when she is first shot through the window.

I noticed the "who's the man with Strangways" skip when watching the 4K Dr. No disc in the new "Sean Connery 007" collection last night, so it looks like we're stuck with these editing issues forever!

There's a similar issue with Goldfinger when bond is talking to Goldfinger while watching the card game through binoculars. When he says "nod your head if you agree", watch Bond's lips.
