Default Slimline PSP: Freakin' SWEET!!

I'm getting either the Ice Silver color, or the regular Black PSP. I felt the system myself, and that dang thing is nearly light as a feather. It's to bad though that the system doesn't come with a TV hook up (bummer), but I can deal....for now. But all in all, the system looks great. I just have to get use to the slimmer, more sexier feel from the bulkiness of the old one.

Wait......

That.......doesn't..........sound......right...... ...

Uuuhhh.....anyways....

Who else got the system, or is looking forward to getting one?

Just got back from my one Target (out of 3) that had the cables.

Good news is they are marked on the shelf 29.99, but they are ringing up 19.99. Yay!

And for anyone who was wondering, (i know i was), the cables are 8.2 ft long. (2.5 Meters)

There may be a small loadtime improvement with existing games, IGN seemed to think so (slightly quicker UMD drive?) but future games designed to use the internal flash memory should be quicker still.

Jut opened and played with mine a bit. Love it so far. When looking at it, the size change isnt all that noticable. When you hold it in your hands though... woah boy, what a difference.

I swear the silver isnt as Liberace in real life as my flash makes it seems.

And the screen is definitely nicer. Not quality wise, but the brightness/contrast has been adjusted, for the better. I want to say it seems 'less faded'. Not that the old one was very faded, this one just seems more... colorful...

Oh, and the Cookie theme from the Japanese site from the firmware update today is all sorts of awesome.

Off to try the video out!

Don't tempt me, I'm saving for my Mac..

I'd be a lot more tempted if they did an aluminium PSP, silver plastic doesn't do it for me, white gets grubby and black shows smudges too much. When I get another PSP I want it to be perfect.

I thought the old battery was compatible, sticks out a bit but gives you longer play time?

i got my psp on sunday its really nice altough i wish they had more colors like they do in japan or korea. I found the tv cables at my local target store altought they dont really make them stand out and since all the psp stuff is next to the ps3 stuff it looks like the cable is for the ps3.

Hey for those PSP Slim owners they have released a custom firmware for the PSP slim 3.60, which you can run homebrew on it. You can get it at psp.qj.net highly recommend it, just be careful with the instructions of installing it.

i highly recommend you don't pirate games (old or new).

I was going to import the crisis core psp, but I just don't feel like shelling out about 450 dollars for the system. There are way to many games coming out, haha gotta watch myself. I want to see how much The Simpsons psp will be to import (fav show). If it's much im just going to pick up either the silver, or star wars psp. The black just got way to many smudges from my fingertips, and get tired of wiping it constantly.

PS: Crisis Core looks amazing, and is out in Japan. Wish i knew Japanese, I'd import it in a second.

u can trade ur old one for $60 at ebgames or gamestop. Thats what I did. $60 isn't much, but u won't get much more since it is now the old model.

its good. its how you expect a psp screen stretched to fit a larger tv would look. i knew it would look a bit pixelated, but it was honestly better then i expected. it makes you appreciate the psp screen when you go back to it, but its still good.

also, for those shopping in the stores that put the PSP and PS3 stuff together, the PSP accessories all come with Blue pacckaging, while the PS3 accesories come in black packaging. Thats an easy way to spot them from afar.
