I like Bryan Greenburg, ever since I first saw him years ago when I was young and dumb and watched One Tree Hill, and again with October Road. I saw previews for this show awhile back and got it saved on my DVR for next Sunday. I also like that the guy who played Tony Alva from Lords of Dogtown is his best friend on the show. I'll be there.

3 episodes in and I'm still undecided about this show. Nothing has really happened so far. I don't mind Bryan Greenburg's character but I haven't really liked the best friend character. The cast is a lot of actors that almost became stars in the late 90s/early 00s like Lake Bell, Eddie Kaye Thomas, and Shannon Sossamon. I'm not going to stop watching the show but it's definitely not a show I have to watch immediately.

I stopped watching it after the first episode. I feel like it is a poor man's entourage rip off. I just do not feel there is any redeeming qualities in the characters after the first episode. I may give it another show when it is on disc but I am not watching it anymore as of this moment.

I really like the show, unlike Entourage it doesn't start out with these kids being loaded spoiled brats with people hanging around them doing nothing. The 2 guys wanna make it, and whether or not they actually will isn't that important, it's about the hustle. I can respect that. Trying to do something to find your place and be successful. Thank god this is way different than Entourage, cause that shit is ridiculous.

Yeah I'm still watching but I am more amused than anything by how quick it went from making jeans cause that was there dream of the moment to within seconds "sure let's make shirts" lol. Now it's gonna be all about the hustle on getting shirts printed haha, i hope this doesn't get too repetitive too fast.

Yeah I caught up with it on demand and actually liked it from episode 1, I felt like it was cool to see people trying to build something where entourage(love that as-well) was more they were already established and just trying to stay on top.

I really hope I don't invest in this and it gets clipped like john from cincinnati (even though I never watched that)

HBO is pretty good about giving shows multiples seasons. The only exceptions I can think of recently that got canned after one season are John from Cincinnati, which got low ratings and was hated by critics, and Tell Me You Love Me, which got renewed but then HBO decided they didn't like the direction the show was going to take in season 2, but TMYLM was another show with low ratings and no critical love.

I would expect How to Make it in America to get another season. Mark Wahlberg is one of the executive producers and critics like it so it should be fine.

Nope. The wife and I gave up after 4 episodes. From the sound of it, we're not missing much still.

The wife and I are still watching and are still amused at this point. Not as amusing as the first episode of Justified but I'll keep giving it a go for awhile and see where it goes.

Yeah episode 5 I'm hoping was the breakout ep and we'll hopefully start seeing this go somewhere

I watched every episode of JFC from the first week it premiered. And after every single episode I asked myself "WTF is going on? I don't even know why the hell I watch this, cause it doesn't make sense" and yet I still watched it, and when it wasn't renewed I said "Oh well apparently nobody else could figure this shit out either" lol.

Hold off if you can lol the first 5 eps are good, but it still hasn't taken you where you want it to go, which is what I'm hoping it gets too soon!

"Guido!!! Big Man!!!!!!!" I was starting to question whether or not the second season was actually happening.

Joe Pantoliano & Eriq La Salle To Recur On HBO's 'How To Make It In America'
Quote:
HBO has tapped Joe Pantoliano and Eriq La Salle for arcs on the upcoming second season of comedy series How To Make It In America, about a group of young hustlers in New York. Pantoliano will play Felix Di Florio, Lulu's (Nicole Laliberte) intimidating and protective father, a powerful and influential New York artist. Pantoliano is a familiar face at HBO. He co-starred on the network's hit drama The Sopranos, winning an Emmy for his gig. ER alum La Salle will play Everton Thompson, an educated Jamaican community activist who throws a wrench in the growth of Rene's (Luis Guzman) company.

I can't find anything anywhere. Until this casting announcement I was thinking they must have decided not to air another season.
