Default Guy Ritchie's 'Revolver'

Anyone interested in this movie? I imported it sight unseen. I watched it last week and I really don't think I will watch it again. The PQ/AQ are both amazing it just isn't a movie that I enjoyed really. So if anyone is interested I would like to trade it. I would really like to trade it for one of the titles releasing this week. Any interest? Or if somebody wants to buy it I will sell it for $40 shipped. I know thats steep but I paid $45+ to import it.

there is a trading area of the forum your better off posting in there mate.

iv'e tried to watch revolver twice and just started doing something else halfway through each time i really don't think the movie has meaning , i remember someone even asking guy richie what the hell it was meant to mean and he just mumbled something before changing the topic.

Awwe man, come Zyclone! You aren't helping me "sell" this movie to the other forum members! Ha Ha! Just kidding, brother. I wouldn't say the movie has no meaning, but I would say it is VERY complicated. Some may even say it has "deep" meaning

Guy Ritchie movies tend to be a little.... abstract. I've seen this movie twice now and I did enjoy it. It's quite cerebral and for those looking for an action movie... this is probably not for you.

I think it's finally getting released on DVD here in the next couple of months... Blu-ray, you mean? Probably never.

I rented it last week on DVD (I think it was released last week...) and I have to say that I was left a bit bored by it... Perhaps I was expecting a movie in the league of "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels".

Yeah not that interesting to me. I think Guy needs to go back to his Lock Stock and Snatch roots.

I should leave this information here for anyone who might be looking for a region-free Blu of this movie with the original cut, since I was trying to find info like this and was having a difficult time doing so.

This German Blu from Ascot Elite works on my region A player and has it, although I'll leave a couple notes underneath the photo:

NOTES:
  • The quotes the movie occasionally puts on screen are all in German on this copy.
  • Most of the Cantonese dialogue is subtitled in German whether or not you leave the full German subs on. Neither this nor the above note interfered with my attempts to enjoy this film.
  • While this does contain the full European cut, it also tacks on the segment with the psychoanalysts from the US cut to the end of the film, as well as the end credits, extending the film's length to 117 minutes. These added bits jarringly seem to be in SD, though.
  • The back cover promises the inclusion of the audio commentary with Ritchie, but perhaps because this is a composite cut, the commentary isn't actually on the disc.
  • The back cover also says that the aspect ratio is 1.78:1, but this is not actually true, thankfully. It's properly scope.

There was a Japanese release last year. Anyone have an idea of it's a new encoding?

How many different versions of this movie are out there? And which one is best?

Got some info regarding different versions:

British/UK cut is 115 minutes long, although in a previous post in this same thread, this german blu ray guy said he has the 117 minute version on his disc.

Scandivanian version is 101 minutes long.

Us version is 104 minutes long. It has different scenes, order, structure and ending.

I didn't even know there was a longer version of this film. Might buy the German Blu-ray at some point.
