I think..I understand it, but I'm not sure. Any interpretations of the film?
Is Jake actually out of prison?

Yes he is out of prison. That is what I got from it. But technically he was still in a prison of the mind. THat is what his buddies were trying to free him from. He was technically Sam Gold too, because his buddies used all his money to make Sam Gold. I may be totally wrong but that is what I got from it.

Your opinion agrees with many others I read. I was confused by Sam Gold, however. This is probably a movie that requires multiple viewings, but I'm not sure I want to watch it over and over. I liked it, just a bit confused.
