Happy One Year Anniversary to "Let Me In"
The movie touched me like no other ever has. I throw around the words "hauntingly beautiful" when I describe it all the time, but that's exactly what it is. I can't believe it's been a year since it's theatrical release. I can honestly say it means as much to me today as it did one year ago. One year ago I was "Let In" and I'm very thankful I was.

A) If we celebrated anniversaries here, which we don't (we celebrate by buying them on disk), it'd be Social Network Day,

Why crowd the forums with a new thread? Go "celebrate" in the Let Me In thread that already exists and while your at it, take a look at the much superior Let The Right One In.

Because this thread is for the theatrical release. I've seen LTROI and prefer LMI immensely. Oh by the way, I did "celebrate" over in the Let Me In thread also. Thanks for playing Moderator, we have lovely parting gifts for you.

i hope u have seen the original they make good companion pieces.

i liked them both.

btw, for thsoe that havent purchased this yet,. my target has them with the slips again..so maybe more targets have them as welll

I have seen both and both of them are excellent. Let Me In just hit home a lot with me.

I loved this movie too buddy, its my 3rd favorite Horror movie of alltime.. don't let these Trolls get to you

To say you prefer the remake which basically remade and reused the originals movies and ideas and really added nothing new to the movie solely to reproduce a movie for US money making purposes then yes it is a much better movie. Honestly I like both but the original is still the original.

The acting was a million times better on the remake, so that brought something very new... The best part about this is Reeves stood true to the original so people that bash this movie that love the original sound pretty ridiculous

Oh they're not getting to me. I just can't understand why people can't like both films. It seems they can't fathom liking both. I love both but just like you, Let Me In is tops.

I love this movie too. Obviously you're possibly the biggest fan of the movie here, but it still surpassed my expectations when I rented it and I was glad it went on sale shortly after so I could add it to my collection. Kodi and Chloe were both great.

Unfortunately the whole Let Me In vs. Let the Right One In talk was bound to happen. No thread can ever stay the way we want it to because people feel the need to not mind their own business.

I'm glad you replied. We see eye to eye on a lot of movies and Let Me In is no different. I don't care what the others say, they don't know what the film truly meant to me.

+1 on everything, except for the rent part. I saw it I theaters. But really, the original is MUCH BETTER? If they acknowledge that the two films are damn near identical, save for the better acting in one (won't bother sayin which...), how can they honestly believe that one is that much better than the other? I like both a lot, but only own the remake because I can "listen" to it. "Oh, stupid American doesn't want to read!" No, I don't.

Yeah, like when the studio passed over literally a dozen poster ideas in the theater, but when the movie finally went to video, just did a RE-ENACTMENT of the same cover from the Swedish version....
Call it paranoid, but fans tend to pick up hints from things like that, y'know.
