Lionsgate has confirmed the Blu-ray release of Spencer Susser's directorial debut Hesher for September 13th. The drama stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Hesher, a down and out metal-freak who takes up residence in the garage of a grieving family's home. He becomes an unlikely mentor to the young boy (Devin Brochu) who lives there, and begins a releationship with a check-out girl (Natalie Portman). Rainn Wilson (The Office) appears as the boy's pill popping father and Piper Laurie (Twin Peaks) stars as his grandma.

The film debuted at last year's Sundance to mixed reviews and was an official selection for the South by Southwest festival. For the film's Blu-ray release, Lionsgate has announced a preliminary list of special features:
