Blu-ray in Dubai - Blu-ray Forum

I have been here for just over a week now and I have been trying to see who if anyone is wining the Blu-ray vs. HD-DVD war

but to my surprise have not found a single HD-DVD disc or player anywhere

and as for Blu-ray you can get them in most electronics stores and even some of the supermarkets also they had the US releases of the spider-man Trilogy already for sale on the day I arrived

but the general film code seems to be region B here, looks like another win for the Blu here

don't be surprised. Asia is mostly blu. Take Indonesia, it's 100% blu due to strong PlayStation brand

That's great! It's good to know Blu-ray is there. I wish I could go back to Dubai to live. It's such a beautiful place! Have you gone to the nightclub inside the Hyatt Regency Hotel?!

The sights are usually amazing!

And, for anyone else reading this, that's just the beginning of the amazing city known as Dubai!

I love Dubai, My wife and I have been coming here every year for the last 5 years, we even got married here

But I have not been to The Premiere club in the Hyatt Regency yet but the wife said she would like to try the Revolving Restaurant

As for the Blu-ray when I was here in March that was the first time I ever saw a Blu-ray being played but it wasn’t for sale then it was only for showing the HDTV's picture quality off, that's when I knew that I wanted Blu-ray
