Default Gotz me my Halloween copy today!

I was so happy when I got home today. At first sight it seemed that there was no package in my mailbox, but alas there was a little brown package just big enough to hold dvd or in this case a Blu-ray case. I opened it right there and there it was. My Halloween...I almost cried I was so happy (lol not really)

Look at the attachment it looks so sexy!

The Best Buy in my area had that movie in stock and on the shelf when I went a couple of days ago.....along with Evil Dead II, Dawn of the Dead, and Day of the Dead. Kind of strange they'd put them out so early..

I saw Halloween, Evil Dead II, Day of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead at my closest BBY about 5 days ago. I'll rent them before I buy them though.

I can't believe any store would still be ignorant enough to really do that. If they put the movies out before the release date they can get in SERIOUS trouble. It gives a store an illegal advantage over other stores, that's why there are certain dates for a movie to be released. They might even get sued by other stores and/or fined by film Studios.

Default Review

OK I just finished watching the movie. It looked awesome. PQ is great. I saw the bit rate max out at 50Mbps. This could be because they lowered the bit rate during darker scenes to around 25Mbps. This doesnt really matter since they are dark scenes and dont need to see much detail anyway. The audio is really good too 5.1 PCM. Sounded real nice even on my cheap ass speakers.

I especially liked the Fast Facts feature. I thought it would be an option in the menu and was confused when I didnt see a button for it there. however, at some point during the movie I pressed the subtitle button twice and poof there it was a little box giving me interesting information about the movie and related things every 2 minutes or so. I really liked that

I really recommend this as a purchase. It looks and sounds great, it's a classic, it's John Carpenter's baby, and oh yeah did I mention its a classic?
