It looks like it is an import. Why does Hollywood release their most wanted movies in foreign countries first??..They will most likely do the same for Back to the Future and Jurassic Park...Do they think there is nobody here that wants the big name titles??,,dumb

It's a matter of distribution rights.

Unless it's a huge studio, other companies own the rights in non-US countries and don't have to wait to release anything.

So Universal is not a huge studio?

according to the link, that release is from 101 Distribution and not Universal.

If JP gets released overseas before the US, I'll definitely import it. I've been waiting too long. I want to see the Explorers(I loved those as a kid) in 1080 and finally hear it in DTS sound .

Exclamation American Pie

I did a search to see if there already was a thread and didn't see one. Does anybody know if or when they might be releasing the American Pie Collection on Blu-Ray? I hope they put all 6 together in a big collection.

No doubt they're coming next year. They might wait and do a 4 film set of the "real" Pie movies.

You are correct, but from what I'm understnding, it's the rated cut. Unless there's proof otherwise.

Would it be worth it to sell the DVD versions now, when they are probably worth more to trade in?

Yeah the topic title did get my hopes up that they announced a box set of these today a little but I will survive this time

I am sure these are bound to show up on Blu-Ray eventually as long as they are not dumb enough to use Book of Love to test the market something with American Pie in the name will have on Blu-Ray. That probably won't sell very well (I will be one of the fools that does buy it though) while these three would fair much better.

EDIT: And the third post that was here a few seconds ago that I was replying to about the topic title vanished and my post seems all awkward now

----

Ohhhh it was moved to the wish list forum. That explains the vanishing post
