Default Your thoughts/reviews on 3:10 to Yuma

In my opinion, not since Tombstone has there been a newly produced western worth watching. This one, however, might be one. And it will be Blu exclusive (Lions Gate)

I'm thinking about going to the sneak preview Sunday night that will be at over 200 theaters around the country, if I can get tickets.

I would love to see it too! I love westerns and this looks REALLY good! My wife and I we flipping through the cable the other day and what did we see on the Starz western channel? The original 1957 version of 3:10 To Yuma. We watched some of it becaause we were curious and it was pretty good. I didn't know the new one was a remake either!

Thats a shame. I let all my employees go to the sneak previews the night before. They love it. 'Specially the big uns... like Spidey and Batman.

Default 3:10 to Yuma

I saw this as soon as it came out, and I thought it was terrific!! I thought both Crowe and Bale gave really good performances, and it was awesome to see Peter Fonda in such a cool character role. Well worth the money!!

I probably shouldn't open my mouth, but I don't think that it was all that great. It had a great cast and it was entertaining most of the way through, but the thing that bothered me most was when Byron McElroy (Peter Fonda) got shot in the stomach at close range (this movie takes place in 1800's) and then after loosing lots of blood, had a vet pull the bullet out and then 10 minutes later, he was perfectly fine. OK.... I suppose I will need to rent the original to compare.

Isn't that the way it always works when a vet removes a bullet from a person in a movie? In most movies, even when a vet isn't involved, the removal of the bullet seems to immediately repair all damage done by the gunshot.

I really enjoyed the movie. But there are scenes, especially at the end of the movie, that strained the otherwise realistic feel of the west.

My brother saw this before me and said he'd give it a 9.5/10 which I thought was pretty high. When I got out of the theater I called him and said "You only gave that a 9.5?!?" There's not many movies I would give 10/10 (maybe 5 or 6) but this one is one of them. (Take into account I've been on a pretty big western kick lately).

This was an excellent movie, I would give it a 9 out of 10, and would say it's the best western I have seen since Tombstone.
