All of my walls are bland. Just plain white with nothing on them and I want to spice them up. Where is a good place online to buy movie posters?
I went to movieposters.com. That seemed to be a pretty decent place. They have an outstanding Casino Royale poster I would love to have. Anyone have any other suggestions for this? *I tried to search for this topic but the words "movie" and "poster" on a forum about movies is going to bring up quite a bit of hits that aren't relevant to this, heh* |

Thanks a lot. Allposters.com has a better selection and even lower prices. Went ahead and ordered the Casino Royale one I've been eyeing.
They didn't have any Oldboy or Children of Men posters though. Or at least from what I could find. |

I've ordered almost all of mine recently from moviegoods.com. 19.99 for 27x40 - all free shipping on them when I have.
Must be 3 or 4 in the last month, and they all arrived in perfect condition. And I was able to use PayPal. ![]() |

Allposters.com is okay, but I prefer to use moviegoods.com and movieposter.com (note that's movieposter not movieposters). Great stores both!
I currently have almost 200 movie posters in my collection, and most of them are genuine, double-sided one sheets. |

If you want original movie posters and not copies of movie posters I would try these:

The problem with eBay is most of the sellers on there have no clue what they are selling and often times misrepresent their posters in various ways (from original to reprint to condition, etc). Always ask a seller detailed questions, make sure you feel comfortable with their answers before purchasing, ask how they package it, etc. Anyone can toss a poster in a tube, and most often, that is what people do, but that won't protect a poster. A good poster seller, or dealer, will take great care in how they package a poster and be willing to answer questions.
There is an entire thread dedicated to movie posters here on Blu-ray.com (link provided below) or if anyone has any questions, they can also private message me as well about posters. https://forum.blu-ray.com/home-theat...7-posters.html |

MovieGoods is a different story. They mainly sells reprints and knock-offs and don't really carry originals anymore. Years ago, that was a different story but the majority of their poster titles are not authentic originals, even though they sell them in 27x40 inches (which is the standard size of an original) and various other sizes, sadly doesn't mean much anymore. Google search the lawsuits against them from studios as well and it will open your eyes a bit as to what type of dealer they have turned into. |

I do know that sometimes television studios print up posters for their station affiliates, and sometimes stations have an internal catalog for employees to order various promotional items for shows. FOX used to do that, not sure if they still do, when The X-Files was on air, stations each year would get a FOX merchandize catalog for employees to order unique promotional items for that show and others. Also, ABC would put out a promotional poster for each season of Lost as well, and F/X would do one for The Shield, so I have to assume they still make them.
If you happen to know anyone who works for the station affiliate that carries the show in your area, they may be able to order you an original one for "Supernatural" if they make them, instead of going the reprint route. |

I think people here do a combination of both. I personally have my posters professionally framed, mainly to support a frame store in my area who does an incredible job. I go with a metal frame with UV-glass (despite living in Seattle where it doesn't usually get very hot here) and acid-free backing. I never dry mount the poster, having it loose between the glass and the backing is the only way to go in my opinion.

I just buy my frames from wal-mart. They go for about $20-25. At one time I had 6 posters up in my room. Now I only have 2. I only have 1 poster that was professionally framed, but it is not a movie poster. From seeing everyones pictures it looks like a few people get them professionally framed.
