Default Transformers on Blu-ray?

i read from another poster here that Transformers the movie will be on blu-ray in sweden and korea. is this true? will it be playable in our players here?
i'm pretty sure it'll have an english track, so that's not of my concern.

that would be great if I can get Transformers on Blu-ray overseas. That makes two (The Island) that I'll order overseas.

95pgtproject, thank you for the website link. The product info page for Transformers (Blu-Ray) says that it was recently deleted in the UK. That's a shame. Why would it be deleted anway? Could it be Paramount's doing?

It's a bummer there's no Region A/1 release for Transformers. Looks like we've to try our luck to grab a copy, and wait 1 year for the region code to expire. I'm too sure about this but it was stated on a Blu-Crew page.

Are you guys talking about this link?

http://www.sendit.com/video/item/7001000137723

That's not the movie that just came out. Look at the red line over the movie. It says: Transformers - The Movie (Blu-Ray)(1986)

It would be great if everyone would just accept that its not going to happen..... They were bought to prevent us from getting it...... Let your wallets do the talking and don't give them anymore money as they already got all of ours in advance..... It WILL come to BLU eventually ..... Just not right now !

Thanks for the link. Yup, I agree. Reading that product page ... I don't think it will be coming to the UK on BD either.

So, if I buy a Blu-ray from a different region, will it play in my U.S. PS3?

Only if it is region-free or region A

I guess I shall just hang on and wait for the day when Paramount finally give up on their HD-DVD endeavour. I'm still daydreaming on the day Transformers roll out (no pun intended) on Region A/1, AVC and uncompressed/lossless audio.

that sucks. The UK has The Island, The Rock, Air Force One, and Starship Troopers. I want all 4 of them. Starship Troopers is Region 2, The Rock and Air Force One are All regions. Does not say what The Island is? Anyone know? Also the Rock and Air Force One are PAL. If they are region free and PAL, will they still work on a U.S. PS3?

All four movies will play fine in US players. I have The Island and I borrowed a friends Crimson Tide import before. The Rock and Starship Troopers have been confirmed to work on US players by many sources.

If you want to buy all four without having to import them, buy them from this site in Canada:
http://www.hdaddicts.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=91

This link takes you directly to their Blu-ray imports page. The site is very reliable and is highly recommended by many.

I appreciate the link. Suprisingly, Amazon.co.uk has them all for a lot less, even with the currency conversion. I am planning on buying all 4. I just really hope they are able to play. I would be pretty pissed if they didn't. What is the point of having them with a different region code then?

To get my Hi Def Transformers fix I'm planning on ordering it on Hi Def Pay Per View and TIVOing it. Might be a couple months after release, but I can wait.

I have Dish TV with a DVR and they have several channels that offer movies in Hi Def. I'm sure Transformers will be one of them.

I've done this on a couple occasions with Pay Per View events like UFC.

I suppose for some of the hard core Blus with tons of disposable income can buy a burner and transfer it to a Blu Ray disk.
