No announcement yet.... Fans were hoping for an announcement at Comic-Con this weekend, but alas we must yet wait on pins and needles.

They're not going to announce the video release 3 weeks after it hits theaters

Look for an announcement sometime in September or so

Isn't Transformers Universal? That means it wont be coming to BR. Unless Universal went neutral without me knowing.

Transformers is Paramount. Which means we should see better video and (finally) better audio than HD DVD.

Of course they will bring it out around Christmas. No question about it. There is no reason not to.

It's one of their biggest hits in years.

Dreamworks and Paramount pictures (just watched it again earlier

)
not sure which is distrubution but they are the studios that pop up at the start (in that order too)

The movie will be out sometime in late november/early december right in time for the shopping season.

Spiderman 3 came out beginning of may, being released on bluray end of october.

Transformers came out beginning of july, should be released end of november/beginning of december as it would be stupid to bring out after christmas.

I am very meticulous in buying ANY movie actually. My collection is very limited.

The following movies are a Definitive for me to own.

Face/off - soon to own
The rock - soon to own
Transformers - soon to own
Spiderman trilogy - soon to own

Does Paramount have a historie of releasing the HD-DVD version before the Blu-ray version in the US??

HD-DVD are desperate need of exclusive titles this christmas.

Here's the Blu version, but i think its strange that the Blu and HD-DVD versions have different covers.

I don't they are the real covers, it looks like something they made up.
