Best current(or new this holiday) standalone?

I am preparing to move to a new apartment. I will have 2 HD televisions(one in bedroom, one in living room)...and I would like to purchase a standalone(in the event that I find that there is enough of a reason over another PS3). Does anyone have a standalone that they think really has an edge. I have read in various posts that some have audio advantages which would really be nice. Any thoughts?

Is price an issue or are you looking for the best? The best will be either the new Denons, Marantz, or pioneer elite. They are all $1k-$2k. If you are looking at the next price set then the Sony BDPS-500 when it comes out. at $700

I have a Panasonic DMP-BD10 and I love the machine. We plan on getting the Pioneer Elite Pioneer BDP-95FD for the holidays or the Pioneer BDP-94HD at a reduced clearance price.

I would love to get the Pioneer Elite BDP-95FD.
The 95 would be hooked up to the new Pioneer Elite VSX-92TXH (which I would love to get also).
The math is simple: 95 + 92 = (via bitstream) DTS HD-MA nirvana!!!!!!!

Would not agree with the S500 being a good choice it will not do MA bitstream. Where the Samsung 1400 will for $200 less.
