Default Blu actually WINS a week at T3 News....

T3 News has this thing they do every Tuesday called the Hi-Defmatch. They are extremely pro-HD-DVD but I thought it was quite interesting they actually awarded Blu the win this week by two whole notches...

Usually the slightest bit of good news for HD-DVD is enough for them to get the win, so obviously they couldn't find any in the last week!

I stopped buying T3 a while ago, but it's interesting you say they are pro HD-DVD as I get this impression about Empire movie magazine. A few times they've said that HD movies are outselling Blu-ray, but then their own sales chart (which I think is provided by HMV) always shows loads more BD titles in the top 10 (or twenty, whichever it is) than the other format.

Maybe I'm just being paranoid.

the funny thing about this is most of these magazines, blogs, whatever are geared toward movie enthusists... the average person doesn't care... they just want their movies, and the format that has the most movies most consumers want is obvious.

What I don't understand is that they have Evan Almighty and Nacho Libre as "must-buys" ...two movies that I would never purchase.

anything that adds fuel to their fire they will use... perhaps buying toilet paper while watching their movies is more important than superior PQ and AQ

No wonder if their info is provided by HMV, those robbin gits charge a fortune for Discs, be it Blu-ray, HD-DVD or DVD. I never buy from there.

Like I said, biased towards HD-DVD heh. Not a lot of selection on that side I *have* seen one or two blu-rays on their must-buys, last one was Starship Troopers I think.

The week of IFA with all those Blu-ray players announced, etc... T3 found some excuse to award the win to HD-DVD anyway.

Neither would I, but there is a market for almost anything. In my opinion, anything with Jack black is a "Joe 6-pack" movie. He is this generations' John Belushi. Only more annoying and less funny.
